入楞伽經 [py] Ru4 leng4qie2 jing1 [wg] Ju leng-ch'ieh ching [ko] Imnûngga kyông [ja] ニュウリョウガキョウ Nyuu ryouga kyou ||| Ru lengqie jing; La.nkaavataara-suutra. The "Sutra on (the Buddha's) Entering (the Country of) Lanka." This sutra propounds various Mahaayaana theories, such as "eight consciousnesses" 八識 and tathaagatagarbha 如來藏. It was used as a text by the Faxiang 法相 and Chan 禪 sects in presenting their basic teachings.
