原人論 [py] Yuan2ren2 lun4 [wg] Yüan-jen lun [ko] Wôn'innon [ja] ゲンニンロン Genninron ||| The "Essay on the Origin of Man ", by Zongmi 宗密. One fasc., T 1886.45.708a-710c. An important essay written in response to attacks on Buddhism made by Han Yu 韓愈 (768-824). Zongmi shows the relative strengths of Buddhism in comparison with Confucianism and Taoism, while emphasizing the "unity of the three teachings." Translated into English by Peter N.
